A college student tries to make sense of casual sex
I hesitated to post this op-ed in the Smith College paper because of some graphic comments, but it's worth reading to see just how lost this generation is. (WARNING: skip it if you don't want to read a few graphic references of sexual nature).
For those of us with many years behind us since college, this article almost seems like a warm bath of fuzzy, funny memories. But what these college kids don't realize is how embarassed, sad, and hurt they will feel later on when the reality of what they've done hits them - if it ever does. Youth is wasted on the youth, as the cliche goes.

How sad. She doesn't even try to deny that these casual hookups necessitate making a person into an object and obliterate the real persons involved.
About the only thing sadder was the first commenter who could only muster in response: "How boring."
A lost generation indeed.

There's hope.
Maybe it's the water up there, but I got away from the 7 sister and changed my life...only by the grace of God.
May He continue to refine me.
